Off Topic- Dental Emerganceys

Anyone experience this and have trouble getting off of work?

I had 1 sick day left and 7 hours vacation left. Yesterday I lost half a tooth and and to call in work and make an emergency appointment. $80 in round trip taxi fair, $500 out of pocket after insurance paid. Got a temporary tooth put in and got to go back in Nov. 25 to have the crown put in. Now my work has a vacation blackout in November and worry about getting off work for this. Plus I am an hour short of a full vacation day so I will have to take an hour unpaid. They basically have no choice but to give me that day off. A dental appointment is something you can not put off for a few months when you only have a temporary tooth in my mouth. I just returned a $100 in qvc purchases to make up for having to use a taxi. I know I am making no sense, just my anxiety typing.{#emotions_dlg.crying}
