Thank you, lovestopaint. A short, direct (easy to understand) answer. Wish some of the hosts would learn to be so specific. I will check out other models to purchase. I know my son loves this one brand of coffee so want him to have the personal Kcup available, too.
Again thanks for your help.

I just keep thinking of all those empty KCups in the landfills.
Kept waiting for Albany to mention it - she talks so fast and non-stop that possibly she did, but I missed it.
Thanks for your help.
There is a hack for it. You can take your personal KCup, whatever brand, and tape one of the lids from the official K-Cups over the lid of your KCup. In the bottom left quadrant of the lid, there is a sensor that looks for the sensor portion of the official K-Cup lid. Just tape that part over yours and the sensor will read it, then you have your own blend. There are many youtube videos on it, so you can see one if you need a pic for it.

I have the Keurig B31 Mini. I think the pros are a fresh coffee of coffee every time and the variety of flavors. The cons are the cost and waste of k-cups. I save on cost by buying one cup from San Francisco Bay and using the Keurig for hot water to make tea and hot chocolate.

Love mine, but I wouldn't want the newest one. I'd look for an older model.

I have a small Keurig and I use whatever cups are on sale that I know are good. It's very convenient and the coffee comes out HOT.Saw on Facebook you can get around using licensed pods in the 2.0. Cut off a licensed pod lid and place it over the unlicensed pod. For details just Google or watch Youtube if you don't FB.
I have an older Keurig, an original. It has worked beautifully, but it's noisy. Since I'm the only coffee drinker in the family there is no wasting coffee, which I appreciate.
I will think twice about getting another Keurig if they continue to restrict pods. At some point the cost per cup will be ridiculous if you can use only designated pods. I'm sure another manufacturer will offer a machine that will accept all pods.
Keurig's greed will be it's downfall.

I've had 3 not counting the single one I use for travel. I've never had one fail, I've upgraded. I bought my first one in 2007.
If you buy a 2.0 you can use and recycle v-cups, or if you you use kcups you can use the cups to start seeds for your garden. Or glue the hole shut and use it when crafting.
There are probably hundreds of kinds of coffee/cocoa that are compatable with the 2.0 so that's really a non issue for me.
The only 6oz water thing is annoying, but I just cut out the top (not the rim) of a kcup and use that so I can have as much hot water as I want.
No you can't use your own coffee, I find I don't miss this at all, the time and mess you make with your own coffee isn't missed. However if you have a solofill you can just put a top from a kcup on it and use your own. There are several youtube videos showing it.

One MAJOR CON is you cannot use your my K-cup. I still like to use my own coffee. They should have added that feature to this machine. I am going out to buy the new Krups 12 cupper instead.

I'll sacrifice the extra 4 minutes and get a real cup of coffee from my press.

I gave my Keurig away! The coffee was not hot enough and not strong enough. The cost of K-Cups depends on what type of coffee a person enjoys. I did have a K-Pod to put my own preferred brand of coffee in, but again not strong enough and not hot enough. The only positive I could find in a Keurig was the convenience of making 1 cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the evening.

The Keurig technology is flawed. As the water shoots through the cup it presses the grounds against the sides, so you get a watery cup of joe. I can't believe people fall for this thing.
I'll pass.
