Re: OT- should I get a clarisonic?

I've had my Clarisonic Mia for a while now. It's one of those beauty purchases that you never regret. I've been using it daily for about the past 2 years - it does and amazing job of removing makeup and getting the gunk out of my pores. So tempted to get a new one with a cute design - when I purchased mine years ago, the Mia was new to the market and only offered in the basic colors - pink, purple, and white (i think). I'd love to get the pink leopard.

Like others on the thread, my Clarisonic, Vitamix, Wen, and Emjoi - those are my must have items, but the Clarisonic is the only one I use daily.

Btw, I bought my Clarisonic Plus over two years ago and I just love it. Along with my Emjoi Tornado (which is rechargeable), it's my favorite beauty devise.

I use WEN CC with my Clarisonic too.

Just a word of warning though...make sure you remove and clean your brush regularly. WEN is thick and can slow down the movement of the brush.

I thought my Clarisonic was shot (after 5 years)...but it was just gunked up!

Re: OT- should I get a clarisonic?

I purchased one when they first brought out the MIA years ago I'm on my second one and wouldn't be without it. I use it twice a day without fail and I believe it has played a large part in my skin looking so good so far. I'm over 50 now so it's one of my tools in my arsenal. Lol. I recommend to family and friends all the time, I think it's important to add, get one.

I got caught up in the Mia Hype..and it sits in my shower, sending guilt rays!! I say....if you don't wear a lot of makeup, there's nothing clogging my skin. I use cheap, cotton washcloths...fresh one every day! Smiley Very Happy

You should sell it on Craigslist or something...get some money back Smiley Happy

I don't have any makeup on when I use mine in the shower every morning. I just see it as helping maintain my clear complexion. But I also have combination-to-oily skin. I can tell a big difference when I don't use it.

I think they're great! I use my Clarisonic Mia twice a day. Can't be without it!

Re: OT- should I get a clarisonic?

I don't own one but should buy one soon. I just never feel that I can justify the cost. Additionally, I am not sure that I would use it. I have had many inexpensive products for cleaning your face and body and didn't use them very often. Although, I would imagine that the clarisonic is very different and I would probably love it.

I am one of the few that cannot use the Clarisonic. I had a Mia, used a couple of times, and it took me two weeks to repair the damage. I have 78-year-old very sensitive skin, and despite my caution with directions to barely touch my face, it resulted in red, burning, irritated skin. Sure wish I could use one since I constantly hear such good things, but it's just one of those things that is not for me.

You must remember that skin thins as it ages. You probably shouldn't use anything with a grain to it. Cure Natural Aqua Gel or PTR FirmX exfoliating gel would be much gentler. You should also be careful with a washcloth as too much pressure can tear the skin as well. My GM is your age, and we battle this all the time. My mother is 59 and has kidney issues, so she has thin skin as well and has to watch scrubs and things too!

I have both the Mia and the full size Clarisonic and I love them both. I don't really use the body option much but when one dies, and needs a recharge, I use the other.

I love my Mia -- especially with the new cashmere brush. It's like a spa treatment every morning.
