OT question about returns...

Ok all...after seeing the thread about the Calista hair Perfector I decided to order one. Yeah...bad idea. Not only does it get extremely hot, even on low, but my long thick hair gets tangled in it no matter what I do and it doesn't come close to straightening it. So I need/want to return it, however, my husband threw away the box and return shipping label! Has anyone ever been able to make a return in a box that wasn't the original shipping box? I assume I can print a return shipping label, it's just the box I need. Hoping I didn't just throw away $80!
