By way of thanking you all for your input on my dress for a new/prospective client meeting, I wanted to say it went just fine yesterday. The woman who interviewed me is sharp and very pleasant, and while they do not have any work at the moment, she liked my portfolio and said they would likely have a project for me down the road. I met my friend who referred me afterward, and he has some other potential leads as well.

The important part: I ended up wearing LDO (Linea) black ponte knit peplum jacket and skirt with a periwinkle tank bought at BR, low heeled black pumps (Clarks). This is a neat suit because it's dressy but being knit very comfortable. A little Laura Mercier and UD eye shadows. My apparel was dressy but appropriate as several women there wore skirts (no hose) and a few wore black despite the heat.
