don't wait too long. i just had a package delivered with my name on it but inside were a packing slip and item that belonged to someone else. i am trying to straighten that out right now. i did notice on one item that some of the UPS tracking over the weekend is screwed up - with the package leaving a place before it had even arrived sort of thing.

We're having a big problem here with UPS delivering a package any old place, and declaring it "delivered."

You have to contact them (they are ridiculously bad in customer service) and also QVC. They apparently have an agreement with big retailers that the retailer replaces the shipment if it's mis-delivered. I've had this happen multiple times in the last month.

In two cases, for various reasons, what was sent was not replaceable, and I was out the item and UPS didn't give a hoot. I was able to find one of them by contacting a friend who drives a UPS truck and he found where the driver put the item. In the second case, the person who got it by mistake opened it, and decided not to keep it and threw it on my deck.

Contact QVC and complain And UPS, just so they can register a complaint.

I would take the tracking number and put it in UPS.com to get more detailed information about the delivery. The QVC tracking page sort of abbreviates everything.

As stated above, check every bush, shrub, bin and tree around your home to make sure it wasn't tucked somewhere odd as all delivery services have extra help around the holidays, so it may not be your regular driver doing the delivery.

It may be with a neighbor. I know my neighbor comes home around 10:30 at night and if I haven't picked up a package (didn't hear the bell or, like Fed Ex Ground and Amazon, delivery at 9:30 at night so they don't knock or ring), she will put it back in front of my door when she leaves for work.

Same thing happened to me. When I called QVC they tracked my package and told me which neighbor had it. She never thought of bringing the package over, it just sat in her house. QVC also called me back the next day to check if I got my package.

I would use UPS tracking and not QVCs as they have not always been synch'd. If the item was sent SurePost, UPS hands it off to the Postal Service for delivery which usually adds an additional day for delivery. UPS does leave packages in hidden places sometimes to protect you from theft, especially during this time of year. If you have signed off to allow them to leave packages at your door, you are technically liable for the replacement if someone steals it. I have had packages delivered earlier or later than expected but I guess when you consider how many packages they touch every minute, things can get off on occasion. I do a lot of online shopping, and the UPS delivery guys have always been great. And no, I don't work for UPS.

QVC has been using UPS for delivery even for PO Boxes. It gets handed to the USPS and it will say delivered and the next day it will say ready for pick up at the post office. Maybe that's what happened to you and the next day it will be delivered to your doorstep by the post office. Either way I hope you get it soon.

I would wait a day. I did have in the last month 2 items that said delivered but I never received. It turns out they were mailed to someone else. AND i received one item that was not mine and had that of another customer's slip inside. Once I called QVC was very quick to send me replacement items with no questions asked and expedited shipping.

If it says delivered, it is delivered--where is the question. I would check all entryways. At this time of year UPS has lots of seasonal help and they may not be familiar with your home/area. If it is not at your home then I would check with neighbors if you are comfortable with that. UPS will initiate a trace but usually the shipper has to request it and it may be a day or so before if/when it is located.

If it was a USPS delivery, it will show UPS Surepost.

It was delivered - just not to you or someone was following the UPS truck and helping themselves! Saw that on the evening news this week.

Also, in my morning paper, a picture of an absolute sea of packages on a huge conveyor belt headed to sorting. It's a wonder we get anything at this time of year!

Apropos of nothing - I received my last QVC package of the year yesterday, before it was due. That means my only two purchases of the holiday season (from any retailer) arrived before they were promised and in good condition!

I'm finished for the year - except for gas and groceries.

I have had this happen before with several things from QVC and another shipper. It never showed up on a few occasions. I called CS and told them, this was probably two years ago I guess.

Then another time with a package from QVC, the tracking said delivered but it wasn't, then the package showed up the next day on my doorstep. Another time a package said deleivered and it wasn't, but then came the next day also, but was delivered by the post office! I don't understand how that works, when they ship something supposedly by UPS and it somehow gets re routed to the post office for delivery?

I haven't had a problem for about a year or two with UPS delivering my things, until last week. This happened with an online order I had, not from QVC, from another company. My tracking info said it was delivered, it wasn't on the front porch so I was worried when I checked on it. And I was home that day and know that UPS never knocked on the door that afternoon. Well that evening my neighbor came over and rang the bell and said "Hi, this package is for you, I am so sorry, I opened it not paying attention to the name on the label. I thought it was mine. I taped it back up for you, I am really sorry I opened it." So, I thanked him for bringing it over to me, but I was a little ticked off that it had been opened!

Guess UPS left it on his front porch (he lives 2 doors down from me). Nothing was missing from inside the package but still, it annoyed me. I know they make mistakes but sheesh. I guess it is a wonder that they get all the packages they have to deliver to the right places anyway. I suppose a mix up is inevitable from time to time. I'm just glad I got my package and my neighbor was nice enough to bring it to me and tell me what happened and apologize for opening it.
