OT: Style snaps?

Has anyone tried these ... they are from As seen on TV are are supposed to be an easier (probably temporary solution to hemming pants). Does anyone know if they are worth buying? I have some jeans that are great with heels in the winter/fall, but cant wear them with flats now.
