I was shopping at Marshall's yesterday and saw a dress that I KNOW I saw in Wal-Mart this past spring. I remember it because it was...well, really ugly. It was a knit/t-shirt type dress, the colors looked faded, and the print didn't match up on the seams. I don't remember the exact price, but it was in the $13-18 range. It was definitely under $20 and probably on clearance now for $4-7. So when I saw it on the rack at Marshall's I was shocked to see that it was marked $29 (!) and there was a Micheal Kors label tacked in at the neckline. Seriously? Michael Kors?? That part was funny. It would be pretty shoddy workmanship from that caliber of designer.
Anyway -- my point is that it makes me question all of their "designer" apparel, shoes and accessories now. Have any of you seen obvious fakes there? It reminded me of threads I have seen about Dr. Denese saying that her products found in those stores were counterfeit. I didn't entirely beleive it at the time, but I sure do now...
