We are relocating to the Destin area, very soon and I was hoping to get some advice from anyone who lives there. My husband will be working in Shalimar, so we are open to niceville, crestview, destin, navarre and other nearby areas. He would like to keep the commute 30 min each way tops. I am wondering what are the more affluent areas of Destin, we want to stay away from the older, poorer areas. I am not talking mansions, but say middle to upper middle class. Our son is in elementary so if anyone has any info on the public schools, which county is better, which schools are best, newer, non title I etc....or low/moderately priced private schools. The schools would be my #1 priority. Any info or help is appreciated ladies!!
