Or did panty hose in my case. I was reading the Post about bare legs vs. panty hose titled (Call Me old Fashion) and thought I'd write what I've noticed when I (used) to wear panty hose. I wore them all the time. I wore them with shorts, jeans, skirt & dresses, and I always got compliments on how nice my legs looked. Even w/them off. I used to get teased by my friends for wearing them w/shorts, but they said it looked natural and my legs looked good. Everything fit better & looked nicer and no panty lines (bonus). What I did notice was that when I had them off, I never had any cellulite on my legs at all. I wore them for years, up into my 50's and my legs didn't show any signs of cellulite at all when hose were off. Then for whatever reason I stopped. It was almost an addiction for me because it was so hard to stop wearing them. Guess it was because the bare legged look came in I don't know. I didn't notice any cellulite at first. It took a about a year and that was when I started to notice my leg shape was changing. I hadn't gained any weight...still did the same amount of exercise. Never even heard of cellulite before...it wasn't until Cellulite was starting to come forward in being mentioned more and more on tv/ads/magazines that I had a name for what I was seeing on my legs. So I started wondering. Were the panty hose keeping the cellulite at bay. I usually wore the Sheer Energy by L'eggs. They did have a nice gentle firm feeling on my legs. I was asked several times if they made my legs sweat in the summer and I told them never. If anything they made my jeans go on easier and I felt cool all day in them, and legs never stuck together when I had skirts on. So...I was wondering. Did the fact that having panty hose on help keep the cellulite from forming. I know a person can have it no matter what size they are. But, with the bare legged look having been around for --I don't know--10/15 years...I've also noticed that the cellulite issue has blossomed. I purchased two pair of L'eggs around 2 months ago. I was thinking at the time that maybe I should start wearing them again because they just seemed to help keep my legs firm. Firmer when on and also when off. For whatever reason, I just put the 2 boxes in a drawer. Then I saw the other post today..and thought I'd share this with you...I'm taking a box out today..and I'm going to put them on today with my jeans.
Just wanted to pass this along and hear what you all have to say. Wouldn't it be a HOOT if all we had to do was wear panty hose to keep and or maybe even take the cellulite AWAY!!!! They do massage the legs w/out our even realizing it. Hey, if it works. or even helps some...then sharing this Thread with you is a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO YOU AND TO ME.
