I just got off the phone with QVC's customer service about a couple of orders gone AWOL. The conversation turned to why no more shipping to Canada as of Jan 1, 2013.
The reasons I was given were entirely about shipping (which doesn't rule out QVC not being able to get a better deal from brokers, mind you):
1. It is costing QVC too much right now to ship to Canada, especially since more and more products get shipped directly from the vendors and not QVC
2. QVC would have to increase its shipping costs, which would not be good for Canadian customers
3. QVC not being able to track an order once it leaves the US border is an issue, athough 1 and 2 seemed the bigger issues.
Customer Service offered that if there was a warehouse in Canada (vs a depot) that might be a solution). She also said that if enough people wrote to Corporate that might make a big difference.
