O.P.I. Nail polish, Nicole by O.P.I, and Sally Hansen nail polishes are all owned by Coty.

I find O.P.I. Nail polishes at Winners so I would also check Marshall's and T.J. Maxx for them. Sometimes you can find some real bargains but beware as I've also seen some old nail polishes there that are separating like the Hello Kitty ones that came out a year ago in regular retailers.

Walmart also has some exclusive shades of Nicole by O.P.I. and I've seen Walmart's Nicole by O.P.I. Shades end up at Winners too.

I wish that Sally Hansen would enlarge their pink shades to have more shimmer polishes.

I don't think OPI is the prestige brand it once was.

Quite honestly, I've never been a big fan.  Many of the colors are absolutely gorgeous but the staying power isn't that fantastic.  When I used to get my nails done, 99% of the polishes the salon had to choose from were OPI and the color always wore off my tips within a week or so.

Now I get gel polish over acrylic nails and OPI gel is my least favorite.  In fact, the salon carries very few OPI gel colors because they said too many people complained about it peeling right off their nails.  I never had that problem but it chips off my tips within a week and I don't have that problem with any other gel polish.

@ECBG

My local supermarkets (Shop Rite and Acme) sell OPI/limited amounts and colors.

Actually my first time purchasing OPI (many many years ago) was in a (now closed) drug store called Drug Emporium. They had an extensive selection/like what Ulta and salons carry now. My very first color was Translyvania Cocktail, blood red of course. Woman Wink

Nordstrom Rack is another place I have seen OPI polishes -- not the latest shades but older ones discontinued.

I get my old pedi staple, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, at Target. Works just like it did when I had it done at the salon.

OPI isn't really associated with the luxury or high end feeling is once was. I'm never surprised to see it in my local drugstore or CVS.

Honestly, the formula is not the best either in my opinon! If you do your nails yourself I would suggest Sally Hansen. Never hear much about them but the brush is amazing and thick so one swipe gets the whole nail- It's the easiest application experience I've had.

It's been a few years since I've used OPI but I ordered the TS Breakfast at Tiffany's collection and I'm quite pleased so far. Anytime I used regular nail polish I always top it off with Seche Vite. My manicure would last about 3 days then would start to show tip wear and eventually would chip a couple of days later. I tried the OPI and topped if off with the Plumping top coat and drying drops and I'm showing no tip wear or chipping on day four. They are still pretty shiney too. This makes me want to try more of their polishes again.

I was in Walmart this weekend, they had a very nice selection of Essie and OPI now. I get mine on ebay or amazon for less.

I did a search yesterday and saw that Walmart still has "Nic's Sticks" by OPI.  I definitely have to get some more (these are the polish in a pen type thing.)  For some reason, I am just hopeless when applying regular style polish but did much better with the sticks.  I had not seen them for awhile so I wasn't sure if they were still being made or not
