O/T does menopause cause high cholestorol?

My cholestorol is jumping every time I get a blood test. Only good thing...the good one's(hdl) are up there too, so Dr. says, no med's needed. I'm in mid 200's YIKES! He didn't say much about any diet change either, and I'm not overweight. I know the liver makes this change, but gosh, gee, what the heck is happening?

I don't consume much fatty food...so wondering about menopause causing another delight{#emotions_dlg.ohmy} in my life!???
