O/T When we put something on waitlist, how does it affect Bill Me Later?

Such as, I have a foundation on waitlist and it's been sitting there quite a while. I do know that I will not get charged until it ships, but...

I want to know if putting this on waitlist has created an authorization charge, and is holding the funds in my Bill Me Later account. Because if it is just taking up space, I might cancel it. I don't want credit being held when I might not even get the item.
