Hsn is also advertising here in FLORIDA or wherever for "at home" customer service reps. They provide all the necessary equipment, compensation to work from home and hourly wage they stated (although not disclosed) is extremely competitive.

Really...

Not sure they actually need any more hosts...

They must be "intelligent". I would like to see all of the hosts use proper language, not scream, not say the say words over and over, not tell us about their personal problems, wear the QVC fashions on air all the time. None of them should be able to wear their own clothes on air.

The male hosts would then appear ridiculous in logo or in breezes....I don't believe they can do this and maintain a non gender bias for equal treatment. It's an HR issue. Regardless, if they are not selling clothes, I don't see what the hosts wear makes any difference.

Agree... I think some folks make too much over the hosts wearing QVC clothes... When they're selling them maybe, otherwise, who cares...? I don't.

That would potentially be a nice job... Would love to work at home... The rub is I don't live in Florida and have no intent to live in Florida... And no, I have nothing against Florida... just not my plan...

I agree. And the Q is not so dumb as it knows that it can profit from people requesting what the host is wearing so that they can copy it and market it in their own brands. Like GILI.

As for the compensation, it's not bad for a starting salary. Based on what we hear, successful hosts earn quite a bit more... And then there are the benefits, perks, samples, vendor contacts and so on...

I wouldn't think residing in FL would be a requirement for an "at home" job.
