A great opportunity for those who do nothing but criticize the hosts that are there now. You can take your star qualities, with your pleasant, mild mannered and slow speaking voices, wide vocabulary that never repeats a word or phrase, and by all means your presentations that never come across as a hard sell, all while wearing only your OVC clothing, shoes and jewelry and show everyone how it's done.

Here is the chance of a lifetime for y'all that are always complaining.

Oh, granny me! You said exactly what I was thinking and so much better than I would have. Well said! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

(What do you bet none of the constant criticizers applies?)

I would apply if it paid more and I didn't have to relocate and not work the cruddy night shifts.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

I just checked out their job postings here.

They aren't currently hiring for hosts on THIS website...just product presenters.

Well I can think of several hosts who do not have all the attributes required. Yeah, I know, I am mean. I am just grumpy today.

Forget selling pencils. The litmus test is whether or not you can say you love and believe in Poo Pourri. And then present it earnestly and positively for 5 minutes without mentioning a single bodily function or busting into a fit of laughter or tears.

When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

That would potentially be a nice job... Would love to work at home... The rub is I don't live in Florida and have no intent to live in Florida... And no, I have nothing against Florida... just not my plan...

I wouldn't think residing in FL would be a requirement for an "at home" job.

I was thinking the very same thing. While they may be advertising in Florida for the position, I would guess they are probably also advertising elsewhere. Many companies now have employees working from home yet not living in one central area. I considered a position quite a few years ago now that was designed that way. The company didn't really care where I resided.

Personally, I would not enjoy seeing the hosts in QVC clothing. They just don't offer enough in styles that would work for this kind of live, on-air position. As a host, I'd think that most try to look and dress as attractively as possible and they are not going to find enough from which to choose within the lines QVC sells.

I would think internal employees are also welcome to apply for the job. Jane (not Tracey, the other Jane) originated from the CS Rep ranks and has proven to be a great host. Many companies initiate job openings/opportunities within the company first then move on to open advertising.

I was curious about this too so I popped over to HSN's careers page and searched for "Customer Service". They have 3 jobs listed, one each for St. Pete, Roanoke and Nashville. Each indicates that it's remote, from home, but that you must live in the listed area. The Nashville one says:

Must Haves

  • Must live in the Nashville area within the state of Tennessee
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Standard telephone service (analog landline) (615 or 931 area code) with a wired jack near your computer

And each city says the same about their location. Hmm. You must have to be local for meetings or phone logistics?

the same listing is on my local Craiglist.

Sorry but does anyone think this is just another bogus ad placed by some perv looking to obtain people's personal information? I just can't see QVC using this site to advertise for a professional and using a "casting director" who nobody knows, no name of the firm this so-called director works for to look up for legitimacy, nothing.

And listed in the same category as people looking for adult film stars? Seems a stretch to me to think QVC would think anyone looking to be a program host would search on Craigslist for a job. I'd never send in personal info to any ad on CL.

I'm done with P.C. Just say what you mean and mean what you say. It's easier.

I wouldn't think residing in I just happen to live here but I assume they advertise nationally. I'm sure like QVC they have CS reps all over the country.

This is a very old ad that QVC posted years ago. They have not used Sean De Simone in ages.

Someone put it up on Craigslist for a joke.

Was wondering why it didn't say ""equal opportunity employer"".............
