HiLo, I read your post on the thread for gals 70+, replying to Snappy.

I too was widowed young when my dh was just 34 and our 2 little ones were 9 mo. and 7 yrs old. I also will never remarry - he was my soul mate and the love of my life.

I've only known one other person in my life who was widowed young/had children who did NOT remarry. You're #2.
