We sold my 92 year old mother's home five weeks ago. She has been in assisted living for about 16 months, so getting the house sold in this economy was no easy feat! Well, the last four weekends, and all of Thanksgiving vacation has been spent sifting through materials goods and memories. (I am 59, and I actually found a dress that I wore to elementary school, along with college formals and college clothes!) The auction was yesterday, and we packed up the last three loads of the boxes for goodwill and the family this afternoon. I am exhausted, my house is mess, and I have at least three loads of laundry to finish before I call it a day. But...it is over! Say a little prayer for me that nothing interferes with the closing scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Friday.

I just wanted to check in on the board and say thanks. At times, you ladies have been my only place of refuge and sanity these last five weeks!
