Thank you, makeup addict. This is one of my and my dogs' favorite nights of television.

The Eukanuba Dog Show has been severely editing the dogs they show from each group too; not a good trend IMHO.

I agree Lola, they should not edit the dog shows. I want to see all the breeds.

You're so right, magemay! We each have a Best In Show already!

Back in the 80's, the Yorkie Best of Breed winner, Ch. Shadow Mountain Sparrow Hawk, was the sire of my female's litter and we were watching him show in group on TV while she was carrying his pups. Talk about exciting!

Pommie came in second! I think the handler was Curtis Smith who frequently shows poms in Southern California shows. Kind1too...I am so happy that poms came into your life....yes, they are special little souls (I love all animals, but poms hold a very special place in my heart) and will provide you with many years of love and laughter. I am so sad about your precious mutt...nothing worse than parting with a beloved pet. Poms are so sensitive that it must have been hard for Callie too. I am happy that you now have two to give you lots of kisses and joy!

uno was the first ever beagle Best in Show! 2008. It broke my heart that Charles Schultz died just days before Uno won. I could imagine Snoopy doing a happy dance in the comic strip. Herding group. Go Collies and Shelties!!
