I just wanted to let you guys know that my husband had his stem cell transplant last Thursday. He is in the hospital, and they are watching his numbers....as soon as the white count drops (this weeK) he is totally isolated to his room. He is pretty isolated now but he can take walks in the hallway wearing a mask. They want you to walk a mile a day. Then after the white count starts to come back he can just leave the room to resume his walks.

Ironically his day +1 (first day after the transplant) fell on my 60th birthday...April 5th. You couldn't plan that if you tried.

My 85 year old father had quadruple bypass surgery. Everything at once. He had symptoms for years but would NOT get any procedure...so long story short he had to have the surgery. He is home now.

So that is where we stand. I am beyond tired. I really cannot live at the hospital (Sloan..NYC). They are very accomodating but it is a distance from my house (Long Island). And the traffic lately has been horrible. When we are there we really can't do much since we are in masks, etc. But when we visit we stay a very long time.

I hope he can get home sooner than later!

Thanks again to all you women you have been so supportive . You guys Rock!

Michelle
