O/T: $5 for a year's subscription to many magazaines (including O)

As a retired proofreader and extreme fan of reading, I hope that printed materials - books, newspapers, magazines, etc. - will continue to be printed.

Not a fan whatsoever of the computer-type "books", Kindle or what ever. Not for me !!!!!

So, out of desperation, I see that these magazines are trying to woo subscribers with a deeply discounted subscription price of just $5/yr.

One warning -- you must notify the magazine IN WRITING if/when you intend to stop subscriptions, otherwise, they'll just continue and charge your charge card for another year at the $5 rate.

But, what a deal! I buy these as holiday gifts for many of my friends.
