I do use the Nuface gel because I just want to make sure I have the proper gel that will work optimally with my device because if I'm going to spend my time doing it I want to make sure to do it right. I get the 10 oz bottle which lasts me almost a year. I can usually get it on sale for $50 -60 and am on auto delivery via my tsv for around that price.
I don't use a ton and when I feel it starting to dry up I'll spray my face fairly heavily with canned thermal water.
I do think any conductive gel would work but a lot of those also have added ingredients that I don't necessarily want on my face (it's sensitive). So you could probably find a cheaper version if you searched it out a little. Good luck!

@GingerHead That's a pretty good deal for the 10iz bottle! I hadn't thought about spraying my face with water either duh, lol. That's a great tip! I think I was just using too much of the conductive gel and essentially wasting it. That's the reason I was asking. I think I'll get a new bottle and try out your tip, thank you 😊

You know, at first I too used just Aloe Vera gel for my Nuface but then learned that it's too weak of a conductor to really work optimally....read below.
I tell ya, I learn something new everyday and bang my head daily over changing info, etc!!!
There’s no doubt that the texture and moisturization of aloe vera gel is an ideal foundation for any good conductive gel. However, even though aloe vera also has the ability to conduct microcurrent, this is merely because aloe vera is 99% water, a naturally conductive material.
Every conductive gel requires a supplemental material (such as copper, zinc, sodium, or acid) in order to properly distribute the microcurrent signals across the surface area of your face. This is because the presence of electrolytes dissolved in water creates a supercharged path for electricity to pass through. Without it, water itself is a pretty poor conductor--so aloe vera alone may just be too weak of a vehicle for microcurrent therapy.
But don’t worry, the consistency of aloe vera still makes for a powerful lubricating sidekick to help your microcurrent device glide over the skin smoothly, so it’s not out of a job yet!

@weezer111 Thank you so much 😊. I appreciate your taking the time to let me know about the aloe Vera gel. I've never tried it. But, I did try a gel from the Dollar Tree that worked really well with it. I just didn't know if it really made a big difference in using their product or not.
I have a huge bottle of the aloe here on hand. I might try to get back started using my nuface using that tomorrow.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS too you too 😃

I have found this to be one of the worst purchases I have made in QVC 30 year history. Only worked for a limited amount of time and the customer service was absolutely useless. No refund because it was over a year old and no help whatsoever. More importantly when the rep for this device said she has botox and filler treatments - you know this is a dog of a device. Save your money with NuFace. It's a horrible company with a poor outlook because there are so many knock offs now out there at a much lower price tauting the same "result".
