Niacinamide. I'm a believer.

I ordered Paula's Choice new niacinamide booster, mainly because of the excellent early reviews and her recent sale. I have nice skin because I've used good skin care for a long time so I never expect to see much of a change when I try something new.

I have enlarged pores on my nose, not huge but definitely visible. I've used this booster directly on my skin for three nights and I see a difference like the other reviewers. My pores definitely look smaller--I  normally wouldn't even check that closely but other reviewers were saying they saw an immediate change. Unfortunately it's on waitlist, but sounds like it will be back soon.

The other PC targeted treatments that have made a significant improvement for me are the Line Minimizer and Hyaluronic acid--my laugh lines don't even show anymore, and other lines have been largely diminished-above lips, 11s and under eyes. I know not everyone is a fan, but I've had great results, not starting from a bad place so to speak. I will say that when I'm ready for more vitamin C serum, I'm going to try the Timeless brand.

Re: Niacinamide. I'm a believer.

@tucsongal thank you so much for your review and so glad you are getting such great results!

I love the Paula's choice products I use and some I've used for 10+ years now, which I think says alot about how well the work for me. My most recent addition was when I started using the line minimizer several months ago just to use around my mouth and lips. I am not a smoker and never have been but I do love drinking from straws and am always worried about getting those little wrinkles around my mouth straw drinkers get. My mom is in her 60's and she has a little bit of those wrinkles as she too is a straw drinker. So for me, it was more of a preventative thing. However, I have noticed that my lipline has looked much more defined these days. never even knew it wasn't really until I started seeing it more defined again. I have full lips naturally and this has really helped make them look their best. Who knew??

Hello,  I have very large pores on my nose, so I would be interested in trying the product you are using. Could you list the item number?  I just looked at the PC products, and cannot find something with niacinamide.  Thank you in advance.

I wonder if this would work the same at Retiniacian from Isomers?

Interested in the Niacinamide but sure if its mixes well with Retinol? Can you use both together?

@segrl21, don't take this to the bank, but from what I have read, the only possible concern would be using it with acids. However, on Paula's Choice FAQs for this product, they basically say that it's compatible with all other products.

Here is where retinol is actually mentioned:

Can I mix Resist 10% Niacinamide Booster with one of your other booster products?

Yes. You can mix the Resist 10% Niacinamide Booster with our other boosters, whether they contain vitamin C, retinol, plant oils, or other ingredients. It’s a highly compatible formula that can help to further enhance the benefits of any of our other boosters!

And here also on her site:

For best results, any form of vitamin A/retinol should be used with other anti-aging products containing rejuvenating ingredients such as antioxidants, skin-repairing ingredients, and different cell-communicating ingredients such as niacinamide. Despite retinol's superstar status, treating signs of aging is far more complex than any one ingredient can address!

I so wish I could use this ingredient but sadly, I am allergic to it. Everything I've read discusses just how wonderful it is and what it can do for the skin. Congrats to all of you who can use it and are seeing amazing results!!

Re: Niacinamide. I'm a believer.

I went to order during the sale and saw it was sold out.  So, I'm on the "notify" list.  I too am impressed by the raving reviews.

I use one of her products:  Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant and absolutely love it.  It is the only thing that will get rid of the small, hard white bumps on my face.  (I forget what they're called.)  With that product alone, I'm sold.  Of course, I know everything won't or may not work, but I've tried so many lotions, creams, serums, you name it......during my many years.

I'm looking forward to her TSV in July.  You betcha I'll be ordering!   Heart

Re: Niacinamide. I'm a believer.

Thanks to everyone who responded to questions before I could check back Smiley Happy .  It's worthwhile signing up on the PC website to be notified when this comes back in stock because in my experience they will usually offer you a discount at that time.  I will certainly post back if  I need to rescind my recommendation for any reason, LOL. I don't think I will need to.
