tested the new YSL perfume "Black Opium" yesterday at Macy's: it is very, very different from Opium which I used to wear years ago.

The he new one is overwhelming with the coffee beam smell.  What a let down as I'm looking for a replacement for the last bottle of discontinued Theorema by FENDI that I have.

it seems that the European perfumes attract me more than the candy- or chemical- smelling American ones do.  I've been looking for almost two years!!!!

I received a sample when it debuted and it was way too strong for me. Plus I didn't like the scent at all. I gave it to my daughter as she tends to like the stronger scents.

QVC lost a lot of my posts too!

I have that fragrance, but I don't get any
coffee scent at all and the coffee note is why
I ordered it. This is in no way even close to
the original Opium of years ago. Sigh....
