I don't know how new it is, but I read about micellar water here on the boards. I tried it for removing my mascara/eye makeup.  Works great for me with no irritation and no filminess on my eyes. The brand I purchased is Garnier.  So glad I tried it.  If you try it, be sure and follow the instructions about applying it to a cotton pad and holding on the area for a few seconds before rubbing.

Micellar shampoo is interesting. Cleans with lot less product
