I am happy with the new policy. It will save me money. I rarely return anything, and if I do it is because of a defect.

This will possibly stop people from ordering multiple sizes of clothing items to figure out what fits best....

This is totally counter-intuitive. It's not a store where you can try something on so what are you supposed to do—trust the garment measurements, try to factor the amount of forgiveness due to X percentage of spandex, consider if it has buttons vs snaps, interpret the "fitted" semi-fitted, close to the body, etc of the vague descriptions?

The only items I return to QVC are clothing; everything else I can pretty much tell by the videos, or the weight of metals, or the close up on clasps. This is simply not so for garments.

I've been buying Linea for years and still manage to get the wrong size even after due diligence, only to discover the better size is sold out, never to return. I've trusted new vendors and brands only to find out they're 180 degrees from the usual QVC fit (I'm looking at you G.I.L.I.).

If QVC would simply adhere to industry standards as found in most brick and mortar clothing, this would not be such an issue. If I order a size 8 skirt from Saks, I know what the fit will be; ditto for Macys, Kohls, Nordstrom.

Order an 8 (or whatever is the corresponding s/m/l) and it's a total shot in the dark.

Yes, this will slow down returns because people like me just won't risk trying a new line or ordering two colors of a new item, even from Linea.

Perhaps you should write a note to Louis telling him how much you love the Linea line but unfortunately, due to QVC's consistent increase in S&H, you will have to cut back on your purchases. If you go to the designers, they are going to take it personally and say something to QVC that they are losing customers. QVC makes a substantial profit off of S&H. They not only raised S&H but they substantially raised the prices on their merchandise several times in 2014. This new shipping policy is actually worse and believe me they are making their money back. There is no way they would reduce shipping and cut into their profits. They are making it up in other ways. Its a win/win for them.

Lisa Norden and QVC:

POORLY DONE!

HSN rates are lower and completely skipped when you order two things in one day.

Talk about a half hearted attempt.

I'll be ordering far less if anything. Greed Kills companies. You may want to think about that.

I will be thinking twice before ordering as well. The clothing sizing has gotten so inconsistent that many returns are not the fault of the customer. I have bought an item in one size and color which fit beautifully and then bought the same item in another color which fit nothing like the first. It was so nice being able to try something knowing you could return it if it didn't fit or flatter. Now it will cost us $9.95 ($6.95 return label fee & $3.00 original S/H) for this privilege. I guess it is back to the brick and mortar or to one of the many companies who offer free shipping and handling.

They are obviously feeling the pinch and stepping up to compete with the rest of the internet. I still don't understand no discount for multiple items. If they ship 3 or 4 small things or clothing in the same package, it costs them a lot less.

So if I were to buy 3 $20 beauty products, I could pay QVC $9 shipping, or get them from Sephora for for free shipping. If I were to return all 3, it would cost me $15.95 with QVC ($3 each +$6.95 return) or nothing from Sephora (free shipping both ways)

Not a hard decision to make.

QVC doesn't get it and never will!!! QVC is not a "MONOPOLY" in the retailer industry; other retailers (Nordstrom and Macy's) offers a "true" easy of shopping with "free" shipping and return. The "easy pay" option is not a factor for shopping at QVC for a lot of viewers, QVC hasn't grasp this concept. The brick and mortar stores and other snooping channels will appreciate the increase in sales and revenue from QVC customers.

Mr Rebates went from 4% to 3% today. QVC you are forcing me to shop elsewhere. This plus the game of shipping and return costs.

No, they are not competing at all because almost all sites have at least free s/h at a minimum order amount and many also have free return shipping.

They also are NOT feeling the pinch of anything because all they did was manipulate item prices and/or took away the discount on multiple items and no longer offering a refund of your original shipping if you return it. They are still making out like bandits on s/h. Don't be fooled! It is like a casino- they will never pay out more than they make. Casinos don't get as big and fancy as they do because people are hitting the jackpots left and right. In the same thread, QVC doesn't make the profits it does by giving us something for nothing!

Be careful what you ask for. You just might get it. There was no doubt for me that prices would go up. For so long everyone complained about shipping and handling on food items. Suddenly it was ""included"" but all food prices went up over $10. Just what they used to charge. I hardly order anything. I watch to see what's out there and get lots of info from demonstrating them. QVC used to be cheaper all the time even with s and h but that was many years ago. This won't affect me since I rarely order now.

I've been buying less and less from the Q lately and that will continue.

I would like to know more about what they deem as their "error". When items are not explained fully or misrepresented, I don't think customers should have to bear the financial burden for returning it. If QVC would enforce standards, such as in the sizing of clothes and shades for cosmetics, that would go a long way to limit the returns. I have been anywhere from a Fair to a Medium Beige in various cosmetic lines on QVC. My coloring hasn't changed, but unfortunately, it's a toss up as to which color will work. I can honestly say I don't buy things with the thought that I can return it if I don't like it. I do put thought into it, but sometimes what I get is not what I expected based on the presentation and information provided.
