New Philosophy Brand Ambassador!

I am watching the 1:00 AM Philosophy show on main Q, and there is a new brand ambassador.  I missed her name.  She said she was a beauty reporter for 15 years, and is the mother of 6 year-old twin girls.  She seems to be well-informed. I still miss MariLyn and Lisa.

I still don't understand why they got rid of all the former brand ambassadors, only to hire a new one.  Why didn't they at least keep one of them?

My favorite one was Mari Lyn.  They could have kept her.

That's a different one then I've seen lately. The other lady is blond with glasses.

I believe that the new Philosophy/Coty executive in charge of managing the QVC relationship wanted to start fresh, with  a staff of their own selection.

It's not unusual in the corporate world for new managers to build their own team.

This is the recruitment ad posted over the summer:

Senior Marketing & Sales Manager, QVC

NYC

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate.

Responsible for the growth and daily business of the largest Philosophy distribution channel through marketing and sales efforts, increasing the customer base and driving sales through unique storytelling, digital strategy, social media efforts, product launch strategy and sustaining core products in - fragrance, skincare, bath & body.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Senior Marketing Manager QVC, you are responsible for Philosophy on QVC, you will serve as the brand’s strategic marketing lead for one of its most high-impact retail partners. This role bridges brand marketing, channel strategy, and storytelling execution to drive growth, elevate brand equity, and build customer love across QVC platforms (TV, digital, and social). You’ll own the 360° marketing calendar for QVC, lead cross-functional coordination for new launches and TSVs (Today’s Special Values), and work closely with QVC partners to bring the Philosophy brand to life in a differentiated, compelling way.

@San Antonio Gal

I say the same thing about the new Clark's ambassador.

I never understood why they replaced Amy Oselkin with this new lady who, to me, doesn't capture the essence of the brand like Amy always did.

I bought a lot of Clark's shoes from Amy...the new lady, not so much!

I really enjoyed Mari Lynn-wonder if she will jsut retire now? Not sure of her age but it seems she was with Philosophy for a really long time-same with Dara Lynn.....

I guess the handrwriting was on the wall when Heidi Guest left.......

It should be interesting to see all the changes with the new management.

Mari Lyn and the other Philosophy ladies are not at retirement age - unless they just want to stop working.

They're all so talented.  I'm sure they'll be successful at their next venture.

@San Antonio Gal Yes, I didn't think they were at retirement age yet....I am sure they will post on Facebook or Instagram with their new adventure-whatever it may be......They have lots of experience, so I would imagine they have lots of options.

Re: New Philosophy Brand Ambassador!

I do too Stella.  But, we need to be open to change!!  And maybe even learn something new.  I'm wondering when Philosophy is going to do a TSV with their shower gel, firming emulsion, and fragrance sets.
