Looking for outstanding vegetarian food, go to Claire's. It is right on the corner of the Green.

Atticus Bookstore is another must go to.

Absolutely correct! Claire has excellent food and the University is right there. Easy walk from the green, which is lovely. Atticus is wonderful.

Everyone has given you great advice. jam22 has given you lots of good ideas.

If you are into it, the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale is quite good.

Don't know how long you will be around, but this is "fair season" around here. The Durham Fair is this weekend. Can be pretty busy, but a real "slice" of New England.

Better to stay out of New Haven and don't make any wrong turns and end up in Bridgeport!! I have lived in CT for 22 yrs. Orange is nice, as well Madison, Mystic. Enjoy the campus and game, but be careful.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. We ended up making reservations at the Hyatt Place Milford for AFTER the game (Sat night to Sun). We're driving in from north Jersey Saturday morning, so we'll go right to the game. Sunday we'd like to see some sights around the area.

We always stay in Stonington (so cute---we were there while they were filming a Meryl Streep movie---saw her and Tommy Lee) or Mystic...
