Re: Need suggestions for naturally curly hair

I still have yet to try the glossing serum, I really need to because my hair is very frizz prone.

Re: Need suggestions for naturally curly hair

Tried all WEN styling products on my chin length curly/wavy hair....it went flat & curls never ""formed"". I used all the Deva products for awhile & then by chance found FrizzEase gel & mousse & curl spray in the drug store. GAME CHANGER!!!!

Re: Need suggestions for naturally curly hair

Re: above post. Just ditched the FrizzEase. Found out from their product development that the silicone is not water soluable & only removed by sulfate shampoo!!! Thinking back to what hair products I used 10 yrs. ago before I ever heard of WEN, Devacurl, Ouidad, etc. I may go back to plain old Pantene, Suave, etc. & stop all the wasted time reading labels & spending money on products that do not work anyway. I think the hair industry found the group of curly girls who were marginally unhappy w/ their hair, targeted us until we became MISERABLE w/ our curls, flooded the market w/ products to make us "ecstatic" w/ our curls & it's all bull. Everything I've read on Google and other sources contradict each other....wash often w/ shampoo conditioner, just rinse twice a week, use silicone free gel on soaking wet hair, scrunch in shower, etc....or don't toch hair at all after gel is on ...or after gel hardens, fluff it from underneath to break the hard glaze (Devacurl)...Ouidad has a video to put in product and handle hair by raking and shaking. Think we're being dazed & confused into hating our curls more than we did before. Drugstores and Internet advertise hundreds of products that promise to make us love our curls, but I hate my curly hair now more than before after being disappointed by all this trial and error of styling products and resent the hair care industry making empty promises. When all this snow clears, to the drug store for any color safe shampoo & conditioner & a jar of Dippity Doo!!!!

Re: Need suggestions for naturally curly hair

I have naturally curly hair also, used to always try to keep it straighter, now I go with it.....go to your hair salon in your area, and buy Deva No Poo, a sudsless shampoo, that doesn't have the teflon like Wen does.....I also use the Deva Arc Angel defining gel, and my hair has never been better......the curls are sweet.....{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: Need suggestions for naturally curly hair

Shanus here. See what I meant? All these posts/replies frantically seeking products or combos that will be the HG. I don't think there is one...or two .....or a combo of 6. Go w/ what you used many yrs. ago before this Curly Girl movement made us frantic!!!!

Re: Need suggestions for naturally curly hair

I stopped WEN this week and went back to DEVA CARE no poo and the DEVA CARE conditioner. I use their light defining gel and let my hair air dry. Very pleased with the results.
