Need recommendations for a primer for oily skin

Ladies,

If you have recommendations for a primer for oily skin, I'd love to hear them. I'm 51, but still have an oily T-zone.

I have used:

Laura Mercier oil-free

Bare Minerals - regular and oil-free

Lancome

MAC Prep & Prime w/SPF 50

Try SKINN's Orchid Gel. It's wonderful - hides pores, prevents shine, and makeup applies beautifully over it. But a word to the wise - a little goes a long way!

Re: Need recommendations for a primer for oily skin

I only apply a primer on my nose where I need it the most and as that's the oiliest part of my face it has to work on oily skin. The best I've used (having tried many) is not a primer, per se, but Clinique's Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector. It comes in Bright, Light, and Dark (I use the Light for my fair skin). I've also used it as an eye shadow primer.

Re: Need recommendations for a primer for oily skin

I'm in my mid-50s and have tried more primers than I can count. I have at least 6 half used ones in my closet right now. My cheeks aren't oily any longer, but my T-zone is still really oily. Believe it or not the best thing I've ever used is Dr. Dennis Gross Clarifying Collodial Sulfur Mask.

Besides using it as a mask or spot treatment, it is also recommended to use as a primer. It works exceptionally well. I spread a tiny amount on my t-zone under my makeup every day and my nose stays oil-free all day long. It also really helps stop foundation from settling in your pores. It also seemed to help with blackheads when I first started using it. This is one of my holy grail products.

I was a little concerned that the smell would bother me as some sulfur products can be a little stinky, but I don't notice a scent at all once I apply it.

I never thought of using this product as a primer, but this is a fantastic product. The best thing ever for breakouts. I don't really get breakouts anymore but am still really oily. I might have to try this as primer.

My daughter swears by the Too-Faced and she also likes the Paula's Choice Shine Stopper (has good reviews too)

I also like PC Shine Stopper, but not as a face primer, I use it under makeup just in T zone.
