I need to get a new flat iron and I want to get a good one.  

I want to be able to straighten and curl my hair.  I will probably use it more for curling my hair.

I have long hair.  I have heard good things about Babyliss brand and am considering the one with ceramic plates.

There are so many options it is overwhelming!!  And they are expensive.  I do believe you often, not always get what you pay for though.

What flat irons do you all love?

I have had a Remington for a few years and it's still working very well and was less than $40.  I haven't had a Babyliss flat iron, but I did have one of the brand's hairdryers and loved it until it died after about 3 years.

I have a HAI and a Solia - both purchased from Folica.com.  Neither was $$$ and both are going strong for 5+ years.  I have long, blonde, frizzy, dry, beyond unmanageable hair ....

I, also, have a Remington. In got mine at Ulta, with a coupon, but this is the one I have. I have had it for years. I bought a back up, but haven't needed it.

 I have the Babyliss one inch, my hair is below my shoulders.  Got it at target so I could return if I didn't like it.  It works fine....but I would not say the best.  I also have a chi from target which lately stopped getting hot, so I guess I will have to throw it away.  Havent' found the perfect one yet though....been curling my hair more often now.

I've owned cheaper brands, as well as the more expensive ones, i.e, CHI, Solia, FHI, etc.  But the one I have now is hands down the BEST I've ever owned, and as long as this brand is being made....it's the brand I'll have.  It's the Keratin Complex flat iron.
