Re: Need help with base of scents

The short answer is the bamboo green tea, new mandarine orange fig and the kids apple, kids strawberry banana and kids watermelon are rice based. Pomegranate, 613 and all the seasonal scents are soy based. Sweet almond mint, tea tree, fig, lavender and cucumber aloe are wheat based.

613, bamboo green tea, all the seasonals and the new mandarine orange fig have extra amino acids and other ingredients.

Hope you figure it out.

Thx so much for the quick,easy breakdown.....keeping for quickie advice {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Maybe is the not the base i need to be worrying about as much as what it does to my hair. I just want volume, shine,softness and managability without trying every single flavors, lol

Exactly! Even among the formulas with the same "base" there are differences in performance. I've tried every core formula except for Cucumber Aloe, and the new Mandarin Italian Fig and out of those Fig was the only one I wouldn't buy again--it's too much moisture for my hair, even mixed with another formula. Didn't really like the scent either! Hoping the new MIF is better.

Among the seasonals, I've used them all except the Spring Honey Lilac, and the only one I won't buy again is the Fall Apple Spice--and that's only because of the smell.

Usually I mix a core and a seasonal in equal amounts...that seems to make my hair the happiest!

Re: Need help with base of scents

I've been mixing a bit and just realized I have sob in my shower. Going to use that alone today and see how it is. I've been mixing too, but do have a bit of frizz. I love adding a seasonal makes my hair smell so yummy. I want to eat it! Lol
