Hi ladies,
I don't know what is up with my skin, but nothing seems to do well on my skin at this time of year. I have 3 foundations that I rotate. IT celebration powder foundation, Tarte mineral foundation and Tarte clay tube foundation. Normally I love them but lately it Seems like its just sitting on my skin - I exfoliate every other day and moisturize daily but...the foundation is not looking not great after a couple of hours. Does foundation go bad ? I have it/them more then a year...
I think I need to take a break from the powders and find a good BB cream to lighten up the look since its summer here....or I was hoping for a light liquid that just becomes one with my skin and is quite natural ? I have some fine wrinkles around the eyes and forehead, so nothing that is on the heavy side.
Any recommendations from Formulas/brands you ladies love.
Thank you !

Have you thought about the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream. We have many in the forum who really like it, me included. You might also check out the MISSHA website and read about the assorted BB Creams they have. If you are darker or AA, MISSHA probably won't help you. Their products lean toward the more fair shades.

First of all only exfoliate 2 or 3 times a weeks -- that's all. Stila has a very nice tinted moisturizer with SPF and so does Josie Maran. Bobbi Brown, Tarte, etc. have BB's or CC;s. If you can get to a Sephora or ULTa, test out some of the products. Good luck.

I gave up foundation when I discovered Lumene BB cream. Has really simplified my life and improved the quality of my skin.

I am trying today for the first time Perricone No Foundation Foundation and it's the most lightweight foundation I have ever worn. I have pretty good skin with not much to cover, so the sheer formula might not work for some. But it layers beautifully. When I look in my magnifying mirror I do not see foundation -- just beautiful skin. I have very medium skin and am wearing the light/medium version. I ordered mine from Sephora to save the shipping charges. If you need a darker shade, you can add a drop of Perricone No Bronzer Bronzer.

I really like Lumene BB---sold at CVS. That and Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid work very well for me in the summer.

You don't mention what skintone but here are some suggestions anway:
Andalou Naturals CC moisturizing color correct for sensitive skin with SPF 30
Physician's formula Organic CC correcting cream SPF 20
Depending on your skintone, Perricone's No Foundation Foundation SERUM (it only comes in one color currently and is too dark for me- I am fair to light). I like this better than his original No foundation foundation.
Missha Signature Wrinkle filler BB cream SPF 37 or their Perfect Cover, although I think the Signature wrinkle is lighter than the Perfect cover.
Paula's Choice Super Light tinted moisturizer with SPF 30

I know what you mean. It seems I like a foundation for a bit, and then my skin doesn't look as good with the same products after awhile. One day I look in the mirror and think how could I have thought this looked good -- ever?! But I just got a sample of the EL invisible fluid makeup and it really looks good on my dry skin. I have decent skin so I just like light coverage to even out my skin tone. This is very light and does glide over fine lines around my mouth without accentuating them. I also like Revlon's Colorstay Whipped creme foundation which is very reasonably priced. With the more expensive brands, I don't buy them outright anymore. I ask for a sample, which generally lasts me nearly a week to test them before I make a purchase & then find I do not like them.
