Re: Need help for frizzy hair

A hair glaze (not gloss) will help manage frizzy hair as well as protect it from heat. I use one and a single treatment lasts about three weeks. Glazes require heat to make them work so you will need a heat source like a heated bonnet or cap. I bought a cap that I hook up to my blow dryer and it works perfectly for the application...20 minutes of mild heat. Hair comes out smooth and incredibly shiny.

Re: Need help for frizzy hair

When I get a glaze (which I don't anymore) my hair becomes too soft, and more fizzy. As the glaze wears off my hair becomes more manageable. I was told this happens to some people. Like I said, nothing works for me except the keratin treatment.

I' m just the opposite of you @Janey2Woman Happy. Keratin treatments make my hair coarse and frizzy.

Re: Need help for frizzy hair

Super frizzy and very wavy hair here! My hair stylist got me onto dry oils and it has made a huge difference! I have been using L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil Products, shampoo and conditioner, then the oil goes in prior to blow drying. After drying I put one drop of Brazilian oil or jojoba oil in to finish, No more frizzies for me and I no longer have to use the specific anti-frizz products.

I know how you feel! I have tried almost everything on the market-but found that Suave Professionals -Sleek Anit-Frizz is doing the best job.

I tried Garnier Silicone free Sleek And Shine. Not the Argan Oil one but the olther oil one along with the leave in spray.  My hair looked great and smooth

Re: Need help for frizzy hair

I'm dealing with similar frizzy and curly hair in spots that I never had before menopause. I've found (and my stylist concurs) that daily washing really strips the natural oils from your hair. I now only wash my hair every 3rd day - just lightly moisten it in between, throw a few Velcro curlers in and let the steam from the shower set it - dry with a blow dryer for about 20 seconds afterwards while the curlers are still in. My stylist recommended Joico shampoo and conditioner (from her salon) and that works well - also Aveeno shampoo works and I don't get as much frizz. I have to use a flat iron to get the frizz calmed after I've washed/dried my hair and I use just a little bit of oil on the worst of the spots. Sometimes too much oil and other products get too built up in your hair. Try washing it less and it won't get so dry.
