What would you recommend for a nice, matte color for under the eyebrow, and a nice matte color for the crease? I tend to like brown for the crease and an off-white for under the brow.

Any great brands/shades that you have used?

A friend mentioned BB Bone for under the brow? Anyone tried that?

Thanks to all who reply.

If you are looking for a nice matte palette that will let you do a lot of looks, I recommend Paula's Choice new matte palette, $40. I think coupon code PRPAULA20 will get you 20% off (not sure though).

Yes, just checked, that code is working

The original (small one) Naked palette is really good.

I like Bobbi's Slate for my crease, or Mally's Brownstone. (Mally's eye base is great for keeping them on)

I just use a light concealer under my brow bone.

MAC's cream shadows are nice, too...

I use Nyx white pearl on my brow bone, which is blended into Nyx rust in the crease.

I second the Urban Decay Basic palette. It's wonderful.

I have the UD Naked Basics and like it but wish there had been more than six shades and better dark shades than they ones they chose.

The Paula's Choice Matte palette mentioned here already has 12 shades and a brush. Mine will be arriving tomorrow. The videos I've seen are very promising. It was a collaboration with makeup artist Wayne Goss.

The price is $40. I used a code for 15 percent off before hearing about the 20 percent off code. So $32 is an excellent price for a high-quality matte palette with 12 shades.

L'Oreal Infallible in Endless Pearl for your off white. Stays put all day!

MAC Corduroy is a great brown. I actually consider this the perfect brown. It's really a true brown and it's not really, really dark so it's easy to work with. It took me a long time to find the right brown and I always fear they will discontinue it.

Hi Sophiebell,

I would point you in the direction of the Lorac Pro Palette.

It contains 12 shades of the creamiest most blendable shadows- including both matte and satin/shimmers. The palette had a wonderful brow bone shade called Cream, and for the crease you have quite a few choices, including a beautiful shade called Taupe.

Good luck,

Janie
