I had a professional facial done at a salon, and although I explained I had very sensitive skin, I left with highly irritated, inflamed skin. Not sure if she needed to have done something different or I just shouldn't get facials with my ultra sensitive skin. Now, two days later, my face is covered with a layer of dead skin. Some of it, I have been able to flake off with my fingernail; however, I still have many other areas that are covered with dead skin.
Since I just had a facial and don't want to risk irritating my skin again, do you have any advice on how I should treat my skin to get the dead cells off? I feel like my serums and mosturizers are not going in as they are just being blocked by the top layer. I definitely don't want to irritate my skin again, but can't imagine this dead layer is a good thing.
I appreciate any advice anyone with experience such as this can offer. Thanks!
