Hi Ladies, I am looking for advice and/or recommendations for a particular moisturizer called Cerave.  Their ingredients are great so now I would like to know if any of you have used or still use the lotion or moisturizer and your feelings about the product.  Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Need advice about skin care

I just purchased the CerAvae Hydrating Cleanser...Purity is just too drying, irritating to eyes...I hope it works for my sensitive, dehydrated skin (medications)...if it does, I'm going to try the moisturizer too.  If you use these products, please let me know if you recommend or not.  Thank you muchly!

Re: Need advice about skin care

I used it for awhile, at the beginning of my skincare journey, after I finally faced the fact that Philosophy was harming more than helping.  There is an AM version with SPF and a PM version.  I think there's also a CeraVe eye cream now too.

You might want to do a search to find out why dermatologists recommend this.  I've read this a number of times.  I used it years ago and found it to be an okay moisturizer.

Re: Need advice about skin care

I was a years long die hard philosophy girl and then my derm told me to use CeraVe.  I've never looked back.  My rosacea is at bay now for years. Sunscreen has protected my very pale skin from burning.  The only part of the line I don't particularly care for is the new salycic acid wash.  I saw it and deecided to try it, not for me.  Been using it in the showere in my decolete and backs of my upper arms  (kp) and it's doing great there but not on my face.  You can find great coupons on line for 3-4$ and i tch them with my local warehouse coupons.  I get 2 good size bottles of either moisturizer or cleanser for very little $.  Can't say enough..gets my eve makeup off, no eye stinging..I could go on forever.  I should be working for them!

Does the cleanser take off a full face of makeup? I tried cetaphil a few times and it barely made a dent in my makeup. Wondering if cerave is similar.

Same issues, same response here!  CeraVe earns good scores from Beautypedia. The gentle foaming cleanser is less irritating, less drying than Purity.  The Skin Renewing Night Cream is so soothing, rich without smothering your skin.  The Eye Repair Cream and serum are nice too.  I can't say that these products are transformative but they nourish and hydrate very well.  They're safe.

No comparison to cetaphil. I threw away my cetaphil and am completely on cerave.  Tales all jy makeup, off.  Cetaphil left my eyemakup, under my eyes and a strange feeling to my skin.

There's a site called makeupalley. I like to go there and read about skincare and makeup. It's very helpful.Woman Happy

Re: Need advice about skin care

I am 66, and think Cerave is great, I have the cleanser and the foaming cleanser. My derm. had samples and recommends it. why pay more for a fancy bottle and a name? I just decant it into a fancy bottle for my vanity. the day and night creams are very good with high end ingredients. easy to pick up at CVS/Walmart/grocery store and on sale! no shipping/handling.no waiting. not hinking about it-and jumping from one brand to another.
