I personally like the automatic kind that you twist up rather than those you have to sharpen.  I like the ones I've gotten from Kim Gravel and Carmindy, but NYX has decent ones too.

I love the Maybelline ones, my favorite is the Almond Rose color. Stays a long time too. Revlon Colorstay, NYX and Urban Decay are also favorites.

I concur with @Mindy D!  Urban Decan liners are super good.  Sometimes I wear them by themselves & fill in my entire lip.  They are long-wearing.  I do wear a balm with it for hydration, but it can go up against most lipsticks for wearing power.

@Snoopp   I like NYX nude and Wet 'N Wild 666. I also wear Bobbi Brown In Ballet Pink and a few others. I prefer to stay with a nude liner close to the shade my natural lips and fill in. It tyends to give lipstick or gloss something to grab onto and won't leave a darker ring when lip products wear off.

Lately, it's been lip liner all over and tinted Burt's Bee's balm. My lips get so dry between the cold weather and wearing a mask.
