@AngelPuppy1

My cuticles are in pretty good shape. I attribute this to my Grandmother who many, many years ago told me to push my cuticles gently back with a towel every time I bathe. This really does help and has become my habit now for sixty years.

Two products I do use very successfully are Blue Cross Cuticle Remover and Butter London's Melt Away Cuticle Exfoliator. Both available on Amazon.

You might want to take a look at this too. Good information and both products I use are mentioned. Actually the Butter London product is rated #1.

The Blue Cross is also available in 16oz for under $9. This will last forever. I think it's an excellent product with tremendous results. It elimates excess skin very quickly without much effort and zero damage in my 30 year experience using this product. Excellent reviews too. HTH

Re: Need a cuticle cream that is not oily or strong smelling

I am having a terrible cuticle issue as well.  I have bought so many balms and oils and none seem to do the trick.  I put them on every night before bed.

I recently purchased.a cuticle softener from Sally Beauty. I've been using that every evening and I'll see how that works.

Hate to admit this, but sometimes I pick at my cuticles so badly that they bleed.  At those times, I use Neosporin cream overnight on them.  They look a lot better in the morning.  Have also recently found a terrific nail/cuticle cream, Hard as Hoof by Onyx.  Very cheap.

Sounds painful!  I have occasionally gone to pull at a cuticle that I thought was loose and then it wasn't --- not pleasant!

I know.  My hands and nails do seem dry all the time.  Too much handwashing!  I just think if I put this oily stuff on my hands at night then I will probably be rubbing it all over my face while I am sleeping and I definitely don't need that!

I do drink a lot of water - I think it's all the handwashing!  Thank you for the recommendation!
