I like this product, but I would like to try something less expensive.
Thanks for any feedback!

Geez, if you find a humidity proof hair product that works for your hair it's worth its weight in gold, IMO. Then again, I live in Atlanta.

Hello, skh47 and welcome. ![]()
Nick Chavez makes some products that might help. But some of them aren't hairsprays.
SoftFlocker - styling paste
Velvet Mesquite Hydrating/Thickening Styling Gel - gel
Volumizing Extra Hold Hairspray - hairspray
I use Nick's Velvet Mesquite Styling Gel and that's great for controling my hair. Nick's styling gel also doesn't cause flakes or dry my hair out.

I was so excited about trying this stuff and it did not do anything for me at all! I must have really stubborn hair. I am glad that it works for you. It's really hard to find a product that does what it says these days. At least in my experience. I don't like to spend a ton for hair products either, but I find I am willing to spend more if I get something that really works! I hope you find a good dupe for less.

There are a lot of drugstore brand hairsprays that are anti-humidity sprays. I know Garnier and Tre Semme make one and I've seen a lot of other brands on shelves.
Hairspray has always been my biggest problem. It either doesn't hold my hair at all, has a horrendous smell I cannot take, or is so stiff and sticky my hair won't move.
I have spent/wasted more money on drugstore hairsprays because I didn't want to spend money on a salon product that I knew worked. This past weekend I just spend money on yet another hairspray that I tossed in the trash can after 2 sprays because it's so wet, it caused my hair to just go totally flat.
Now, the next time Beauty Brands has one of the BOGO hairspray sales, I'm stocking up on what I like to save money. No point wasting anymore on bogus hairsprays.

This is my "go-to" $2.99 right now

This living proof product doesn't really add any "hold" the way most hairsprays and setting sprays do. I've tried it, and it's "ok". I live in Indiana, and there is fairly high humidity. It's an alright product, but I don't think it's all that.
It isn't like a hairspray imo. It's just really to block out frizz which it doesn't do a great job of anyway. Hairspray makes hair a bit stiffer.
I do think , O/P, it is pricey too.

Thank you, this is a great price! I'll give it a try!
