Looks like you got a lot of great tips and suggestions!
I am in my 60's too and makeup is definitely way more challenging now!!
I think the Cover Girl and Olay foundations for mature skin are nice. There is one -- and the exact name escapes me at the moment --- which Ellen DeGeneres advertises --- which is in a round container and has swirls in it --- it advertises that it floats on top of the skin. This might be a good choice.
I have used for a long time off and on their Advanced Radiance Foundation. it is in a pump bottle and is kind of a souffle texture --- whipped and smooth.
I don't have really wrinkles (so far) but I have fine lines, uneven skin tone, a few larger pores, and some redness due to rosacea. These foundations really seem to sooth and smooth things out.
I also use the CG Smoothers Concealer Stick for additional spots.
Nothing is going to make us look like we're 20 again -- unfortunately!!!

Two suggestions, first is to try a better moisturizer. My skin is so terribly dry and I found a better moisturizer helps tremendously.
Second, if you don't need a lot of coverage, try a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation and use concealer on problem areas.
Don't spend a foutune! Use the best moisturizer you have and mix a bit of foundation in, then apply. This was truly a 'duh' moment for me!

Try Armani or Chanel. Both are great on older skin. I know how you feel. I used to obsess about my eyebrow hairs. Now I rarely pay attention because of health problems. I slap some light shadow over them and go on. It's only when I look at myself in the rear view mirror that I almost have a heart attack!! I look terrible (for me) but I can only deal with so much. My skin is actually pretty good. I've used products since my teens but I just look old 😫😫😫

I'm in my 70's and I felt like you do until I started using the MIA 2 - 3 years ago. My skin looks and feels better now than I think it ever has. I use IT Illumination and I'm telling you, my skin just glows. I also use Retin A at night and Paula's Choice 2% BHA in the morning. But the big difference happened with the addition of the MIA 2...
BTW, on the advice of several women that I respect on this forum, I tried the Foreo Luna Dupe, and it didn't agree with my skin at all. So I'm sticking with my MIA 2 with the deep pore cleansing brush, which works the best of all the brushes for me.
Oh - and I use WEN Bamboo Green Tea with my MIA 2 morning and night.

I too, have had these same sad experiences-everyone hits a point as they age where what they did for possibly decades no longer works. I agree you have to start with skincare, but that's true for any age. What has made the biggest difference for me is literally deciding each morning what my skin may need that day. menopause has been brutal, and i go from bone dry to an oil slick literally day to day. I use to be more of a makeup minimalist, but now I try not to feel guilty for having 5 foundation products! I have a CC, BB, cream foundation and 2 liquids-one dewy and one matte. I also have 3 different primers. I apply using a magnifying makeup mirror and no longer expect flawless in that reflection-but i always look pretty good in the rearview mirror and thats the reality that counts. Be kind to your skin, and adjust as you go. I dont mind my "battle scars of life" aka wrinkles-they add to my character- and I dont want to look TOO young-as my husband is ten years older than me and I dont want people to think im the trophy wife!LOL! Atleast telling myself this reminds me that my wrinkles are from humor not tragedy, and for that i am most grateful!

@vanity wrote:Hi. I am in my 60's and sure could use some suggestions. I have tried every kind of foundation, - IT, BE, Laura Geller, drugstore brands, Clinique, Lancome, etc. I am sure you can get the picture. But whenever I finish putting on my makeup for the day, I take a magnifying mirror to check my look, and literally I get sick! I look so bad. I see pores, a dry complexion, and lines, etc. I am looking for a makeup foundation that gives a soft, natural, look. Not a heavy dried look. I do use moisturizer first. I tried IT's poreless powder (white powder) and still see pores. Please can someone give me some ideas. I can't believe I leave the house looking like a dried prune. Thank you very much!
I can't use powder anything anymore. I do use Oil of Olay microsculpture cream, SPF 30 for daytime and the red jar of Microsculpture cream for night.
After trying so many foundations, high end and drug store I settled on L'Oreal Tru Match Lumi in 3n which is perfect for my dry mature skin.
I use either my Real Techniques Expert Face brush or my IT (round top, not flat) foundation brush. I dot around my face than using a circular motion I blend it in, looks best for me. It also doesn't take a lot so I have to use just a tiny bit on the top of my brush.
I have tried most brands QVC sells as well as other channels and dept stores but once I found this(through these boards here) I am a happy camper.
I don't like heavy feeling foundations so had to return the IT CC cream foundation which felt like I had a mask on all the time.
