My goodness @granddi - how often are you coloring, every 2 weeks?  Unless you go longer than 3 days between washing...

Natural Instincts uses low volume peroxide, in the 1-5% range depending on the specific color, which is why it's technically demipermanant not semipermanant, regardless of what they say on the box. It used to be semi, years ago and was no peroxide but they changed it. I researched it awhile back. The black color is permanant.
