Re: Need Rec's For a Finishing Powder ~

[ Edited ]

@SurferWife  - I've only used the Bye Bye Pores silk finishing powder and not the illumination one.

I love the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder!

It is even more finely milled than the Mercier powders and has light reflecting, blurring properties.

It is beautiful on my 70+ old skin.

Bye Bye Pores really gives a beautiful, lightweight finish. I think it is better than Hourglass.

I prefer the pressed over the loose.

I have old, oily skin so my powder experience may be different from yours.  I used Bye Bye Pores for years and loved it, but didn't like the price.   Last year I switched to Flower Miracle Matte, sold at Walmart.  Actually, I like it better than BBP.   Just tap the brush onto the powder and brush and swirl, and brush and swirl.  Doesn't take much.  Really gives a nice finish and I don't get shiny.

I use Avon’s translucent powder to which I added some Almaty glimmer (discontinued but I have a stash).

Bobbi Brown translucent setting powder. It goes on like silk. I won't use anything else.

I've been using Becca Hydra Mist Set & Refresh powder for a while now.  It's a little pricier than I care for, but I really like the way it works and doesn't settle into fine lines, and doesn't ever look dry.  I stocked up when Ulta had their 21 days of beauty event as it was one of the featured products.

I like Laura Mercier and Fenty.  I use Fenty when I want an almost skin color setting powder and use tthis one all over my face.  The Laura Mercier I only use on my forehead usually

I love Dermablend, it is fabulous, I also really like Hourglass, and Becca....I do like It Cosmetics, I have used it in the past. But I have to say right now for the price, I am enjoying Dermablend!
