Need Help - Dr. Dennis Gross or Peter Thomas Roth - Retinol

Hi.  I am just starting with a Retinol serum and have narrowed it down to 2 products - Peter Thomas Roth's Retinol PM or Dr. Dennis Gross' Ferulic Acid and Retinol.  I would love opinions on these products if you have used either of them.  Thank you!

I have used both and I definitely lean more towards Dr. Gross' product.

PTR's retinol fusion, although it gives a beautiful radiance to the skin, I do not feel it is giving me any 'treatment'.  Dr. Gross' ferulic acid + retinol gives me the radiance plus the treatment benefits of a retinol, i.e. refined pores, firming and enhanced skin tone by resurfacing.

I will also add that I currently use Paula's Choice retinols, both the mild and clinical and LOVE them both!  Her clinical, I feel, is the closest to prescription strength, very moderately priced as well (just in case you hadn't looked at her line in your research).

I have used both and saw no results from either. My next investment is going to be with Consult Beaute, 3% encapsulated retinol, strongest I have seen yet.

I second @fitfuninformed's thoughts on Paula's Choice!  I've used PTR (and still have it), but I have switched to Paula's Choice and prefer it.  I feel like I'm getting more treatment from it, but if you have sensitive skin, I suggest using it sparingly and start out with every 2-3 nights vs. every night.

Thank you @fitfuninformed and @SurferWife for the Paula's Choice recommendation.  Is the retinol you are referring to A276148?  I am definitely going to look into that.

I saw no results with Dr. Gross's product.  I peeled too much with Paula's--actually more than I even peeled with Retin A.

I prefer PTR's retinol fusion for sure.  I use it 3 to 4 nights a week and alternate with Cerave or his unwrinkle night cream.

I purchased PTR's retinol when it was recently a TSV.   Amazing.  Large bottle, with no dropper, but I did exactly what he said.....pour a few drops (after shaking) into your palm.  Works like a charm.  I've used PC's retinol and, also, Dr. Gross.  In all fairness to Dr. Gross it was probably 2-3 years ago.  With PC, I saw no difference.  Now that I've purchased PTR's peel pads and the retinol, I'm sticking with that!!

I'm currently enjoying Dr. Brandt's new 2% product (Sephora).
