Need Hair Color Brand Recommendation

I hope you will indulge me with some of your hair color wisdom....due to finances I can't afford to have my hair colored by my stylist for now...so, I'm looking for some help. I currently wear my hair in a nice nutmeggy (NO maroon) red, with some heavy (Chunk) blonde highligts. Since I will be doing the coloring myself and am a COMPLETE NOVICE, I'm willing to forgo the highlight for now, cuz I think it might be more complicated that I can handle... if I can just have a nice warm red color, I'll be a happy girl. I'm afraid of the color appearing "flat", so,if you would share your recommendations I'd so appreciate your input....Thanks!!
