Neck Cream

I have a question. I had a facial for the first time in years...was wonderful...the woman who did it is 60 and not one wrinkle on her neck. She told me NEVER rub the cream going upward..to always go downward......so now I am confused..I always heard you are to stoke up...even the BE neck cream says to do that...I had told my neighbor and she said yes always down never up.....HELP!!!!!! Donna
