Just wondering-did they ever reach a decision as to whether these kinds of products are safe? There was a lot of controversy for a while. Now I rarely if ever see the word nanno on anything.

The pros outweigh the cons when it comes to the use of nanomaterials in the cosmetic industry. Most any issue which might come along with using nano products would be dealt with on an individual basis according to the NIH. Problems can be reported to the FDA where there is a form you can fill out and report them that way.

Does this mean there are nano based cosmetics out there and you can use them if you want to? (thanks for correcting my spelling!)

Many sunscreens, toothpastes and long-wear foundations contain nano particles.

I didn't realize nano-tech was in cosmetics I thought it was more of a heavy industrial use.
