I have very weak finger nails plus dry skin around a few of my fingers. The dry skin is driving me crazy. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance

Extra vitamin D. My nails were a royal mess until I added extra vitamin D supplement for my bones. Added benefit was much stronger finger nails

I would start using a humidifier in your house. For me when my fingers start getting really dry, especially the cuticles cracking, that tells me the air is too dry.

I keep a little tine of Burt's Bees cuticle cream on my nightstand and rub it into my cuticles every night, it helps my fingers.

I take fish oil capsules...and my nails have gone from soft and splitting, to EXTRA hard, and fast growing.

I would check with a doctor, tho, if you are taking any "maintenance" meds to be sure there isn't any conflict.

Drink more water.

Use argon oil - any brand - on hands, nails and cuticles along with a rich moisturizer throughout the day.

@MamawskidsMamawskids ...I have the same issues,  and worse on my toes.  Honestly, I don't think there's a permanent remedy.   The only relief is a daily regime, if your willing.   I've tried ALOT...it just comes back, so I have to apply topicals every day.  I do my own or go for pedicures.  I do my at home pedicures every 2 weeks, then I'll get a wax pedicure in between...that helped better to keep the dryness down.  My fingernails are the same...thin, very dry cuticles and over grow in no time. For that I've recently resorted to getting my nails done professionally with a dip powder...seems to help alot.  Then I just keep my cuticles and hands moisturized in between.    I like Almond oil after showering...you can rub it your nails and entire body.  It's quick and inexpensive.  I buy on Amazon, many to choose from.  Then apply a moisturizer if you want more hydration.  Vanicream is very rich. Again...not a cure all...its a daily task.

I drink PLENTY of water...nothing has made an improvement on my dry cuticles,  nails, and toes.

I put WEN oil on my nails at night and sometimes during the day as well but my hands are in water a lot during the day,

@bargainsgirl

I apply WEN treatment oil to my nails every night while I'm watching by "before bed" TV show.  It's quite relaxing massaging it into my cuticles.

I think I'm going to use one besides Tea Tree oil, though because it makes my nails grow too fast.  Even my nail technician commented today that my nails appeared longer than normal this time.  It is the nightly use of Tea Tree oil, so I'll switch to another scent.

I still use T.I.P.S. from the Q. Conditioner.  Helps my nails.
