I'd be very interested in trying the Londontown.  I've never heard of it.  To those who use it, do you feel it's necessary to use both a base and top coat as well?

Sally Hansen Complete. No need for base or top coat. Wears really well!

I only polish my toes. I recently tried Olive & June from Target and really like it. The brush is perfectly shaped, there are great colors and it lasts.

I've tried Londontown in fact I have their Illuminating nail concealer in my manicure bag right now. It doesn't stay on any better than the millions of other brands out there. After a couple of days it starts peeling off.
I use a variety of base and top coats, all price ranges. Same with colored polishes.
Honestly I have no idea why certain nail products wear a long time on some people but not on others.
It's so frustrating to only get 2,3 days of wear out of a self manicure.

Thanks for all the answers!  I'll start trying different brands.

Deborah Lippman said the secret to long wear polish is to make sure your nails are completely dry. If your nails have water in them they are expanded and as they dry, the nail polish shrinks and peels.

Since seems like my hands are always in water, I sometimes dry my nails with a hair dryer before polishing.

I use Orly more than any other polish, they have great colors. 💅🏻

I have the best luck with Butter London. Of course, it would have to be one of the higher priced polishes out there at $18 a bottle! 😩
