It's called Double Duty by Sally Hansen and it's my holy grail for a base! Years ago my nails turned sunshine yellow after wearing red polish and a poor base coat. I started wearing Double Duty and you could see the difference! The yellow had to grow out unfortunately, but I have only used Double Duty since then and it keeps my nails strong and looking good, no matter what color/brand I use for polish. It is a good top coat too but I reserve it just for my base. It's in a clear bottle with a blue cap.

I don't use any base or top coats by Sally Hansen, or any top/base coats so I can't comment on those (I did use SH many years ago). I'm going to repeat a few things.
It all depends on your nails, trial and error. For most of us, some brands will work, some won't. I usually don't wear base but apply three coats of polish and a top coat. I generally get 7-10 days wear with most products. I do use Bonder by ORLY with dark colors due to staining. I'll also try any that I get in kits.
It may be worth a small investment to you if you want to go more natural. A brand called Karma Naturals has a huge sale going on GMA. They have top/base coats, removers, polish, and treatments. Free ship at $19.99. I don't know how good the remover is but I've ordered it and some polish. For glitter, it would probably take a minute because it's gentle. Other brands can be harsh and drying, some are very strong.
In the meantime, trying out SH will give you an idea about the brand. I used No Chip top coat when I was a teenager. It was the first time my polish didn't chip in a day. They have good products. I don't know about their ingredient list, though, if you're concerned with that.

If it isnt an inconvenience to you, I'm soooo glad & grateful you are more actively involved, & contributing to, at least, our Nail (& other) threads.
I've probably told you this, umpty-nine times, you've had, & have sooo much to offer us (me). (You sure have, & continue to offer *me* so much info, & incredible counseling)!
In fact, I think beyond my usual, since childhood, (now discontinued products) nail/colors/brand I've used thru the many years), THIS is about the extent I've known, of the newest nails, before your help! (some call it, my "stuck in my rut") I wasnt familiar with Gels & esp Dips!
(And I'm kind of, weir, definitely, fanatical abt my nails, & hands (& face). I admit it)
Most recently, I became interested & supplied in a phenomenal Gel & esp Dip Nails, & all the accoutrements, accessories.
But, rapidly increasing, rapid detrimental falls, & has led to a sudden surprise to Lifestyle change, an eminent, inevitable move to Asst Living).
I've lost some Nail steps & VERY MUCH in the way of Nail supplies. *boo hoo!* I was in the middle of tagging, assorting & organizing the colors!
I hope to get back into these newest Nail expansive interests, all over again, altho perhaps in a much smaller scale.
I jumped wayyyy *ALL IN* before these sudden lifestyle changes! *gulp* I shutter to think of my phenomenal *all in.* The inheritors of my Nail Supplies is going to be one major major lucky, nail affluent person!!!
I'm trying not to feel this phenomenally large, "beauty broken heart."
Other than my "Best Seller Book of all Time," this Beauty (Nails & etc) all'round change is the most dramatic, & sad! I'm sooo Beauty, & Beauty Product Abundance spoiled.
But, life goes on, eh?
I'll re-establish & adapt my "loves" once I finally settle in. No doubt, nails & hands will be an integral part!
*hugs* @juperier3

Thank you for the extra info!
I used to use Orly's Bonder and a top coat by them too (don't remember the name).
I'm going to try the Sally Hansen Double Duty. I like to wear two coats of the Kiara Sky Iceberg on my fingers and then a clear top coat for extra shine. Today one just totally popped off in one solid piece

Thank you so much for all of that. I have the SH product in my WM cart. I'll try it first. Right now I'm enjoying two coats of the Kiara Sky Iceberg on my fingers. No problem with staining but today I had one just "pop" off in a solid piece. DH said, "You didn't prep your nails before applying the polish" Now, he's a building contractor, not a nail expert but I suppose, in theory, the same need to prep a surface so something will stick to it, is the same lol

I've bought many many beauty and skincare products from eBay. I make sure the seller has a positive rating of 99.7+%, LOTS of sales and how long they've been selling as guidelines on who to buy from. Also, I've contacted sellers to photograph expiration dates/manufacture dates. I've been stung once. eBay stepped in and made it right.

I am interested in the Karma Naturals...have you used their products?
I've stopped having my nails painted because I always end up with white streaks in my nails and/or yellowing. My nails seem to have grown increasingly susceptible to discoloration over the years.
When gel manicures first started, I had mine done on two different occasions and it took them years to recover!
I'd be interested in a more natural product for my toes.
I did check their website, but wanted to know your experience.
Thanks.
